Auction Success in 2016 as Records Tumble!

In front of a packed auction house with standing room only, Parsons Son & Basleys November auction raised close to £3 million pounds worth of property sales from the 15 lots that were available providing a success rate of 100%. Auctioneer Simon Caplin, said he was absolutely delighted the success of the latest auction where some of the final selling prices comfortably exceeded the anticipated reserve figures and with a record breaking over £19.5 million pounds worth of property transactions. “It has been a fabulous year, it really has, with some absolutely fantastic prices being achieved and on more than one occasion with contracts having been exchanged within hours of our clients having accepted their offers. We also enjoyed a success rate of 92.6% !’

We even went as far as Sommers Road in Reigate.

And sold the 3 bedroom wing of a former manor house for in excess of £400,000

Then we had to cancel our June auction, because we sold every single property beforehand!

You see when we say ‘sold’ we really do mean sold as in exchanging contracts immediately and not simply agreeing a sale only for our buyers and sellers to be spending the next few months hoping nothing goes wrong. With the auction method of sale there literally is no time for anything to go wrong!
